Community Care 800 is a community interest company. Our service informs, inspires, and motivates care support that works better for families and the community at large.
The health and Social Care sector is rapidly growing and at the same time there is real-terms cut in funding and the sector is currently experiencing shortage of care workers. The burden placed on families, including untrained young and older carers, has become overwhelming, as they find themselves carrying out duties they are not adequately prepared for. The communities are suffering the effect of the shortages and residents are left to care for their loved ones on duties they are not sufficiently and/or not at all trained.
Our service is to provide free training to carers in the community using Community Centre platforms wherever we’re given the opportunity. By easing the burden on carers and equipping them with the necessary skills, we can ensure a higher quality of care and well-being for those in need.
Caring for a family member in need, whether it's an ageing father or mother, a disabled spouse, or a child with a physical or mental illness, is an act of generosity, love, and commitment. You provide your loved one your care and attention every day, which improves their quality of life. As a caregiver to a loved one, you face many responsibilities. It is a challenging role and likely one that you haven't been trained to undertake. With the right help and support, you can provide loving, effective care without having to sacrifice yourself in the process.
Our dedicated team and committed volunteers are the fuel of our organisation. Qualified to provide training, advise, support, mentorship, enabling individuals to build skills, develop confidence and look forward to a more positive future.
Our training sessions are meticulously planned and are designed in a manner geared toward the maximization of efficiency. Our course materials are specially written, contain a wealth of knowledge and taught in easy-to-understand language.
Focusing on social care needs, we provide training so that carers can build skills, help to face challenges, reduce social isolation, help into employment, develop connections, and lead a more fulfilling lives and their loved ones. .
